Sunset Hills Montessori School - Enrollment
2010-2011 Registration Procedures
If you are interested in pursuing enrollment for your child at Sunset Hills Montessori School:
Please attend an Information Session or an Open House. After you have attended one of these events, please make an appointment to observe at the school. Classroom observation times are scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings at 9:00 am for families observing in our Pre-Primary, Primary and Elementary. During your tour you will have the opportunity to sit and observe in a classroom. Observation time in the classrooms is limited to 30 minutes. All tours and observations are done without your child. Experience has shown us that when a child comes with a parent the parent tends to focus on his/her child, and does not always get the full picture of the classroom.
If you are considering the before and after school program and wish to see how it is run you are welcome to visit, by appointment, between 3:15 pm and 6:00 pm. These times must be scheduled with the aftercare director as the other staff members are busy with the children at this time and cannot take time away to meet with you.
After you visit the school, you may be offered an application. Send the completed application to the school with the application fee. This fee does not apply to tuition and is non-refundable.
The school reserves the right to accept or reject this application and also to request the withdrawal of any child if this action is thought to be of benefit to the child or the school. Upon acceptance to the school, you will be offered a contract. You will have seven days to decide whether to accept the contract and reserve a space for your child in the school.
Return the signed contract to the school with 1/10 of the tuition as a deposit to hold your child’s space. There is also a non-refundable $100.00 enrollment fee.

Children who have not attended a Montessori Primary Program will be considered for our Elementary program after interviews with the parent and child.
